I paint what I feel, the intensity of hope, the fear of loss, the way a heart soars when it overcomes a challenge, the serenity that comes with survival. I paint with the energy of life experiences, how we deal with the day-to-day. I paint what it means to be alive.

Elsie’s work is an expression of both her mind and her heart. Although somewhat cathartic, her pieces are always full of color and energy. Each piece is unique and vibrantly expressive.

It’s the most natural thing in the world for me to pick up a brush and become a conduit of expression. Thoughts, feelings, emotions and experiences find their way to my canvas. How it delights me when something I’ve painted or a title I’ve chosen speaks to or comforts someone. In an otherwise frenetic life, when I paint, I am totally focused; the world melts away and I am finally home.

Showing and Selling in public places like restaurants and small businesses allows hundreds of people to see my work every day. Increased exposure plus reasonable pricing means my artwork is available to the masses. People who may never have thought of owning original art, who may never have gone into a gallery can build a relationship with an artist and collect original work. I am forever grateful for privilege of sharing and selling my work. A special thanks to all who visit here and for all who have purchased my work over the years.
